ANZSBT Donations Policy

Introduction

The Australian and New Zealand Society of Blood Transfusion (ANZSBT) is a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission. Our mission is to define and promote best practice in clinical and laboratory transfusion medicine, to promote and support education and research in transfusion medicine and science in Australia and New Zealand and to engage with stakeholders in all areas of transfusion through communication, representation and advocacy.

Fundraising Policy

For every $1 donated, 100% goes directly towards transfusion research and towards the Society’s purpose to promote best practice in transfusion medicine and science for the prevention or control of diseases.

Fundraising activities carried out by ANZSBT will comply with all relevant laws.

Any communications to the public made in the course of carrying out a fundraising activity shall be truthful and non-deceptive.

All donations over $2 are fully tax deductible as we are endorsed as a deductible gift recipient with the ATO.

General Gift Acceptance Policies

We accept Visa and Mastercard. Direct deposits can also be made.

Donors have the option of making a one-off donation or can regularly donate via direct funds transfer on a monthly basis.

Donors may also wish to donate to ANZSBT via bequests or testamentary gifts.

Tax receipts shall be issued immediately for all on-line donations. Tax receipts for monthly donations will be issued annually or more regularly if required. Please contact the ANZSBT Secretariat if you wish to receive more regular receipts than annually.
