Transfusion Practitioners

The Transfusion Practitioner Working Group (TPWG) is a working group of the Clinical Transfusion Practice Committee (CTPC). It is a leadership group of Transfusion Practitioners (TPs) from Australia and New Zealand who work together to:

  • support the Society’s strategic direction
  • create a collaborative network for TP’s across Australia and New Zealand to share knowledge and experience, promoting consistency of practice (where practical) in a safe and supportive environment
  • provide education opportunities for members, specific to the needs of TP’s and their evolving roles
  • provide support for all TP members, in particular early career TP’s, through activities such as guided reflection, mentoring and a structured Community of Practice (CoP) to enable professional and personal growth
  • understand the TP workforce across Australia and New Zealand, their current and future needs and the impact they have on patients and organisations
  • Draw membership of enthusiastic and passionate people to the Society

Amanda Catherwood (Chair)
